It is crucial that when you learn Sketchup, you start with the right fundamentals (which is also easy to pick up). Once you've picked up on the fundamentals of 3D Modelling, we jump into more advanced topics using specific Sketchup plugins, to take your modelling to the Next Level.
This course is divided into Seven Projects

Introduction to Sketchup for Absolute Beginners
Before we start with the projects, we will start with the fundamentals. This section is perfect for absolute beginners who are new to the Sketchup World.
Project 01 - Vray 6 for Sketchup | Living Room Masterclass (Added in August 2022)
Introducing the photographic approach (the MCLR Workflow) to rendering, a MASSIVE update to the course. Let's make high-quality interior visuals FAST with Sketchup & Vray using the MCLR workflow. And yes, we will be using the latest version of Vray & Sketchup for this section.
Upon completing this section, you should have the skills & knowledge to create high-quality visuals FAST! You can even call yourself a CG artist! Practice makes Perfect! Continue learning the course with new projects as shown below.
Project 02 - Model & Render a Photorealistic Chic Bedroom with Vray 5 and Sketchup 2021 (Added in July 2021)
In this project, we will learn to use Vray 5 and Sketchup 2021 respectively, to model, render and post-produce a Contemporary Chic Bedroom. We will also showcase some additional plugins which come in really handy while designing interiors such as profile builder, floor generator and sketchuv. Towards the end of the project, we will create an additional sectional perspective render that would definitely "wow" your clients.
Project 03 -Modeling a Contemporary Bedroom (Sketchup 2020 & Vray Next)
In this project, we begin with the fundamental skills required to model a contemporary bedroom with Sketchup 2020 and Vray Next. You'll learn how to import images and CAD files into Sketchup and how to model walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows. Additionally, you'll learn how to model bedroom placeholders, wardrobes, study tables, and TV units.
This project also features advanced Sketchup modeling techniques that are taught in this course. You'll learn how to model beds using the Artisan Tools and SubD, how to model curtains with Clothworks, and how to model blankets and pillows with the Clothworks tool. You'll also learn how to create a studio and import models from 3D Warehouse.
Once you've completed the modeling process, you'll jump into the world of photorealistic rendering with Vray Next for Sketchup. The course will introduce you to the Vray interface and Vray Asset Editor. You'll learn how to set up Vray Lights in your bedroom using the photographic approach with the Archgyan Lighting System. Additionally, you'll learn to create Vray materials like metal, cloth, wood, glass, glossy, matte laminate sheets, and use Vray-Fur to create rugs and carpets, Vray-Infinite plane, Render elements, and much more.
Finally, you'll learn how to render your final image using Vray settings and post-production techniques in Photoshop. With this project, you'll have the skills and knowledge to create stunning photorealistic renderings of contemporary bedrooms in Sketchup and Vray.
Project 04 - Model & Render a Swing Wardrobe with Sketchup & Vray Next (Added in March 2020)
In this project, we will learn how to create a Swing Wardrobe in Sketchup as per interior design standards. We will learn the importance of composition and how to render the swing wardrobe in a Studio setting using Vray Next.
Project 05 - Design & Render a Modular Kitchen with Sketchup 2020 & Vray Next (Added in April 2020)
In this project, we will learn to model and render a Modular Kitchen. We will learn about the various standards, vray materials, lights and more to create an amazing looking Night Render of our Kitchen. We will also learn how to change material colours on Photoshop instead of re-rendering them on Sketchup.
Project 06 - Design & Render a Contemporary Bathroom with Vray 4 and Sketchup 2020 (Added in May 2020)
In this project, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to design and render a contemporary bathroom using Vray 4 and Sketchup 2020. Here's what you will learn:
BONUS: Project 07 - Model & Render a Living Room Scene with Vray 5 and Sketchup 2021 (ADDED IN DECEMBER 2021)
Experience an immersive learning experience with our latest bonus project - Project 07, where you will master the art of modeling and rendering a stunning living room scene using the latest version of Sketchup and Vray 5.
In this project, you will learn to create your room from an imported DWG file, design your living room space using various 3D Warehouse Models and Chaos Cosmos models, and set up the camera using different compositional techniques in Sketchup. You will also gain exclusive insights into the latest lighting techniques and learn how to leverage VFB layers to enhance your render further within Vray.
With this workshop, you will discover the power of Vray Fur and its various parameters to create a fur material for your rugs. You will also learn to change the colors of your materials within the VfB window, eliminating the need to use Photoshop. Finally, you will learn additional post-production techniques in Photoshop and add a beach scene behind your windows to create an exceptional living room render.
